People with Disabilities followed by performances by outstanding
entertainers with disabilities.

Michael Yager |
Michael Yager
will be the Master of Ceremonies for the Awards Ceremony of the
California Governor's Committee. After interning with Saturday Night
Live in NYC, Michael was professionally trained at the Players
Workshop of Second City in Chicago. He is the creator and host of Talk
Show, Sacramento’s first-ever audience-participation live pretend TV
talk show improv comedy production,” which enjoyed its second season
at The Studio Theater in 2002. He is a contributing writer for the “I
can’t believe It’s not Comedy, Comedy Troop” and tours nationally with
his unique stand-up and one-man show Man of the House.

Rosi Reed
|
Rosi Reed - is a born performer who hails from Los
Angeles. She began as an outstanding dancer. However at age 14 she
suffered a spinal cord injury in a near fatal car accident. That left
her legs paralyzed but for Rosi life on wheels wasn’t suitable to her
style and ambitions. Rosi has over ten years of professional experience
in the entertainment industry captivating numerous audiences throughout
the region. As a singer, actor, comedian, and “spoken word” poet.
These performances include television appearances on “Alley McBeal”,
“The O’Keefe’s”, and co-hosting the “Carol and Marilyn Show”.
Likewise, appearing in the films: “Sweet Oranges” and “Still Air”. |

David Roche
|
David Roche is
a humorist and keynote speaker who has transformed the lessons of
lifelong facial disfigurement into a compelling message. He is “...a
theater pioneer, a major contributor to the emerging culture of
disability. His ground breaking work gives voice to people who have been
hidden and shamed. In his acclaimed one man show, The Church of 80%
Sincerity, he weaves childhood memories, scars, dreams, desires and
everyday human experiences into a brilliantly funny, moving and
absolutely mesmerizing evening of theater.” (Cheryl Wade, Disability
Rag). David appeared at the White House in 1999 and in 2000 he headlined
at the Paralympics Arts Festival in Sydney, Australia.

Bill Shannon
|
Bill Shannon,
alias "CrutchMaster" is an acclaimed dancer, choreographer (including
Cirque du Soleil)
and performance artist recognized in both the hip hop dance scene as
well as the disabled artist scene. The energy, elegance and fluidity of
Shannon dancing on crutches combined with his use of a skateboard for
mobility have dazzled audiences nationwide. He is widely recognized in
the underground performance art scene, the NYC hip-hop and club dance
scene as well as the disabled artist community.

Wine-Sky |
Wine-Sky
As a producer, Wine-Sky has worked with musicians: Taj Mahal, Pee Wee
Ellis, Mark Isham, Jon Scholle, David Bromberg, Darol Anger, Rob
Wasserman, and Nicky Hopkins. As a songwriter, guitarist, banjo
player, and vocalist, has played extensively in folk, country, and rock
clubs on the East and West coasts and has opened for acts including the
Grateful Dead, Johnny Winter, and the Steve Miller band. Wine-Sky, has
recently released his debut solo CD. The album, Americana Road, was
released by Blind Luck Records. In it, Wine-Sky incorporates country,
rock, old-time string band, blues, and rockabilly in his unique brand of
Americana music.
